Helen Cater

Helen is a chartered physiotherapist and a member of the Association of Paediatric Physiotherapists (APCP). She has a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy and has over 20 years of experience in paediatric physiotherapy, of which over eight are in neonatal physiotherapy services. Helen has experience in acute and community settings covering a wide variety of paediatric specialities before becoming a neonatal physiotherapist. She trained in several advanced clinical assessments and will continue with a clinical role alongside her Network role. Helen will support, advise and work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams across the Network to highlight the importance of developmental care, family integrated care and early intervention to help improve the quality of care and long-term outcomes for pre-term babies and their families.
