It is essential to provide parent education to ensure parents have equal opportunities to learn the skills they require to care for their baby confidently in the neonatal environment. We can give parent education in several ways, some examples are cot-side teaching or drop-in sessions with set training topics.
Below is an example of a parent craft timetable that can be adapted for use:
