Clare Harris
Parent & Families Engagement Lead
Clare is a mum of four daughters, her first being born prematurely and with a serious heart condition, receiving neonatal care at both Queen’s Medical Centre and King’s Mill Hospital. Clare set up the Emily Harris Foundation Charity in memory of her first daughter and has provided support to families on the neonatal journey at King’s Mill Hospital since 2008, expanding the support of the Charity to include Bassetlaw Special Care Baby Unit in 2025. Clare also worked as the Neonatal Lead for the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) from September 2023 until May 2026 during which time she built strong relationships with staff and families to ensure the parent voice was central to decision making around Maternity and Neonatal care. Clare is passionate about all families receiving the best care possible whilst their baby is in a Neonatal Unit and in her role as Parent and Families Engagement Lead, she is keen to hear from a diverse range of families so as to ensure that family voice is at the heart of changes made and enabling us to feedback what is going well and what could be improved with the aim of providing equity of care for all.
